About Frankie...
Frankie Mears C.C.C., CCTP II, B.Ed.
My practice is grounded in the belief that every person deserves a safe, supportive space to explore their inner world and reconnect with the people who matter most. Dependant on the needs of the individual, I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques in practice, including Attachment and Strength Based approaches, Play Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Systems, and Gottman to create a personalized path to healing that honours each client's unique journey.

I am a dedicated psychotherapist and clinical counsellor (M.C., B.Ed.) with a profound belief in the power of connection and community. With over 25 years of experience working with children, youth, families, couples, and individuals my speciality is in helping individuals find their place within their "village"—the supportive networks that nurture personal growth, resilience, and healing. I am a Certified Level 2 Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP II) and currently in the process of becoming a Certified Play Therapist. I am a member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, adhering to the Code of Ethics as laid out by the CCPA.

I am guided by the principle that true well-being emerges from meaningful relationships and believe working collaboratively with clients will guide them to foster deep, authentic connections with themselves and others. Through a compassionate and client-centered approach, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, whether they're seeking to heal from loss or trauma, overcome anxiety, or simply find a sense of belonging.

Beyond the therapy room, my roles as a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend have moulded an ardent advocate for community mental health and about offering opportunities for psychoeducation designed to strengthen the self and communal bonds. I strongly trust that when we understand our place in our "village," we can experience deeper fulfillment, purpose, and joy.
